J-pop is an abbreviation of Japanese Pop and refers to popular music in Japan. The term J-pop taken from a radio station J-WAVE "this shows the different types of music from folk music. Singer of J-pop is a celebrity musician and seiyuu.
J-pop or Japanese pop is a general term that contains many types (genres) Japanese music such as pop, rock, dance, rap and soul. In Japan, the term J-pop used to distinguish the style of modern music with classical Japanese music called Enka or Japanese form of traditional ballads. Often we hear terms like J-rock, Visual Kei and J-rap, but all these terms in the shade of J-pop. In the Nagoya area, the term Z-Pop is used for music that was popular in the region. Some Enka songs as sung by Miyuki Nakajima and Anzenchitai are considered to be in either category Enka or J-pop. Music stores in Japan are generally divided in categories of music J-pop, Enka, Classical and other categories of British / international. Roots of J-pop music began with jazz that became popular in the early Showa era. The early Showa Era began in 1926 by Emperor Hirohito to the World War II in 1945. Music Jazz introduce various types of instruments which previously only used for classical music and the military, in various bars and clubs such as "Ongaku Kissa" which is one of the famous jazz performances.
